Mega Creatine Fuel

According to common sense, the longer and harder you workout at the gym or on the field or court, the faster you’ll see results – whether those results be a smoother jump shot, an increased vertical or extra pounds of muscle.

Of course, if anyone with an ample amount of free time could simply walk into the gym and workout for as long as they would like, we would have many more Hulk-like individuals dotting our society. But as you may well know from experience, our muscles tend to tire long before we’d like them to during a workout.

As such, training effectively enough to induce large muscle or performance gains can be difficult. Luckily, there is a surefire way to enhance muscle cellular energy in the form of the anabolic agent we’ve come to know as creatine.

With the ability to increase a body’s rate of ATP re-synthesis, creatine has become one of the most widely-used supplements amongst athletes, bodybuilders and gym rats.

That said, not all creatine products are as effective as they may seem. Is this the case with Mega Creatine Fuel by TwinLab, or is this product one that you should seriously consider using?

Let’s try and find out…

What’s The Hype Surrounding This Product?

For starters, we should notify you that Mega Creatine Fuel is made of what we call a pure creatine blend. In other words, this product is strictly a creatine supplement that contains no other ingredients – including amino acids, carbs, minerals and more.

Now then, there are plenty of other creatine supplements that boast of pure creatine blends. But what sets Mega Creatine Fuel apart from the rest, is the fact that each of its servings (3 capsules) amounts to a dosage level of 3,600 mg.

In fact, TwinLab tries to use this large dosage amount as Mega Creatine Fuel’s main selling point.

But is this a smart approach to take?

Does This Product Live Up To The Hype?

3,600 mg of creatine is obviously enough to jump start ATP re-synthesis. But there is one problem with taking high concentrations of creatine.

That is, if your body doesn’t properly absorb all the creatine that you ingest, this can lead to excess amounts that cause bloating and other unwanted side effects.

As such, most manufacturers of creatine products will engineer “micronizing” techologies which are designed to shrink creatine molecules in order to increase the speed at which they are absorbed and taken by muscle cells.

This is not the case with TwinLab, as Mega Creatine Fuel does not contain a micronized blend according to our knowledge.

Further, you’ll also notice that 21st century manufacturers often bypass the use of regular creatine in their creatine products, because of absorbency problems, in favor of faster-acting forms of creatine such as creatine ethyl-ester, creatine alpha-ketoglutarate and more.

Again, this is not the case with TwinLab as Mega Creatine Fuel only contains a basic form of creatine, known as creatine monohydrate.

Now, this isn’t to say that creatine monohydrate is ineffective. But there are certainly more capable and safer forms of creatine available for manufacturers to use in this day and age.

Would We Recommend This Product?

Before closing, we should mention the fact that a bottle of Mega Creatine Fuel, which includes 40 servings/120 capsules, can be purchased at an affordable retail price of $19.95.

Couple this with the fact that you’re getting 3,600 mg of creatine in each serving, and its pretty safe to say that Mega Creatine Fuel is a cost-effective option to consider.

Still, improvements could be made to this product by TwinLab. Ideas include “micronizing” its creatine and even using mulitple forms of creatine in its blend rather than settling with creatine monohydrate.

As such, we would recommend the use of this product if you’re on a tight budget. Otherwise, you may be better served to spend a little more money in order to find an option that contains a higher-quality blend.

That is a disclaimer first of all. Before you coesidnr any supplement simply consult and get the permission of your parents or physician. That is why it is on the label. Now when it comes to creatine use, it basically effects the same at any age provided you do not abuse it and take more than 5 grams a day. More is NOT Better. Too much creatine will cause gastro intestinal distress and lead to major diahrea. That’s my take on it. Again before you use it consult your parents/physician
